Jurupa Valley is one of California’s newer incorporated cities. Located in Riverside County, Jurupa Valley was incorporated in 2011 after winning enough votes on the March ballot. Its estimated population is 94,235 people. The city area is 44 square miles, and though the city is technically new, the area itself has a history dating back to the 19th century. The city used to be part of Riverside, California, though the Jurupa Valley area was settled in the 1800s before Riverside began to attract more attention. Economically, Jurupa Valley has room to develop and expand. Major industries in Jurupa Valley are currently a mix of urban business and rural farmland but may change as the city continues to develop.
Because Jurupa Valley has been newly incorporated, most coin and bullion dealers will be located in bordering cities, like Riverside and Corona. That doesn’t mean that collectors and buyers looking to expand their collections while visiting Jurupa Valley shouldn’t look around. Riverside is a very short drive away, and a number of shops exist in the area, especially considering that most of Jurupa Valley was once part of Riverside.
