This small private mint is headquartered in Los Angeles. They have very little online presence. Northstar mints silver bars in 10, 25, and 50 troy ounce sizes, as well as silver rounds carrying a classic liberty design. Their bars are fairly plain but well made; they can frequently be purchased through large silver dealers.

Over its history, the mint has been responsible for minting many U.S. coins intended for circulation. Today, the San Francisco Mint is responsible for minting proof coinage. Coins originating here bear a mintmark of ‘S’.
Golden State Mint
Golden State Mint is one of the country’s top private mints. Established in 1974, GSM has minted millions of silver, gold, and copper rounds and bars. They are particularly well-known for their one ounce and fractional silver rounds in Buffalo and Incuse Indian designs. Golden State Mint also mints custom designs.
