The Royal Canadian Mint introduced the Grey Wolf Series, a collection of silver coins, with the launch of the 2015 3/4 oz Canadian Silver Grey Wolf Coin. Over the coming years, the RCM plans to unveil four distinct designs, with one new coin released annually.
These 3/4 oz Grey Wolf Coins mark the fourth occasion since 2006 that the Royal Canadian Mint has featured one of North America's most formidable predators on its coinage. The initial release in 2006 showcased a 1/2 Troy oz silver dollar coin, followed by the 2011 wolf in the Canadian Wildlife Series and the 2014 unveiling of a .9999 pure gold Howling Wolf coin.
Every 2015 3/4 oz Canadian Silver Grey Wolf Coin in this product listing is a Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) specimen. Coins in BU condition exhibit no signs of wear and tear, although minor imperfections such as breaks in the luster, spotted surfaces, or contact marks from the coining process may be present.
The obverse side of each Canadian Silver Grey Wolf coin displays a right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This image of Her Majesty was crafted in 2003 by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt and includes engravings of her name and the coin's face value.
On the reverse side of the 2015 3/4 oz Canadian Silver Grey Wolf Coins, you will find the depiction of a solitary Grey Wolf standing atop a rocky outcrop, howling into the distance. Engravings on the reverse include details such as the issuing nation, the year of release, and information about the coin's metal content and weight.
