This classic Gold bullion coin ranks among the most popular 1 oz Gold coins in the world for its simple, classic design. The 1 oz South African Gold Krugerrand has been struck annually by the South African Mint Company since 1967 to help market South African Gold.

The coin’s obverse, designed by Otto Schultz, bears the face of Boer statesman Paul Kruger, four-term president of the old South African Republic with the inscription reading “Suid-Afrika South Africa.”
